My waterfall friend Siang Hui told me about a waterfall in the Genting Highlands, virtually unknown, but development had started so he advised me not to wait with a visit. On 30 November 2021 Aric and I drove to Gohtong Jaya. There was a lot of traffic, many lorries and bulldozers, We expected that access might not be allowed, but no problem. We proceeded carefully, muddy roads.

Not very inviting.

After passing the construction site, the road was much better

In about 15 minutes we reached the first waterfall

From there a (recent?) concrete footpath followed the river

Less than 10 minutes later we reached the main fall

An almost vertical fall, surprisingly powerful

The waterfall is close to the Gohtong Jaya - Ulu Yam road. A real beauty.

Aric and the fall

From the fall we started climbing a metal staircase

We decided to climb the stairs, hoping that we could exit at the top and avoid the construction site.

Concrete steps. Probably a recent construction

But ending at a fence and a locked gate

No problem, I climbed the gate and Aric passed the fence.
