On our way back from Taiping, 31 July 2011, Aric and I visited a waterfall in the Serai river. Lata Bawong, easy access from Bawong. A popular destination for the local youth.

Four years later, on 16 August 2015, Paul, Fahmi, Rani and I were invited for a 2D1N waterfall trip in the Sg Siput region by a waterfall friend, Ngah Ibrahim. He told us that there were two more waterfalls in the Serai rover, upstream of the Bawaong waterfall.

Before entering the jungle, we had to pass electric wire, protection of the plantation against elephants

The first waterfall we reached was Lata KukU. Crossing the river to reach the fall was not easy as the current was strong.
